Here’s how I’d approach integration if I just came out of a ceremony today…
1️⃣ I’d devote myself to a daily practice that keeps the ceremony’s felt experience alive.
For me, that’s meditation first thing in the morning, medicine music on, FEELING into the version of myself I want to engrain deeper.
If it's alive now, it's integrated.
2️⃣ I’d “entrap” myself in accountability (so that I don't only do it when I feel like it but especially when I don't).
That means a coach and at least two sessions per week for 3-6 months, then continue with once a week for another 3-6 months, and ideally, a community.
💡 Bonus points if it's the same group you journeyed with.
🤔 If you go to the gym 2–3 times a week to train your body, why wouldn’t you integrate with the same consistency to train your mind, heart, and nervous system?
3️⃣ I’d get crystal clear on my vision and future direction.
Where am I headed, and why?
What from the ceremony (and from my whole life so far) still feels significant?
Which daily micro-actions, habits, and identity choices will move me toward that vision?
💡Everything else is a distraction. (And will turn into resentment for not prioritising what matters most.)
4️⃣ I’d commit to those micro-habits as if my life depends on them.
Schedule them in my calendar first, minimise interaction with what feels misaligned, and create clear non-negotiables for my future self.
💡 Post-journey momentum makes YESes and NOs a lot clearer. Listen to them, and keep listening.
5️⃣ I’d design my environment to make staying on my path inevitable.
What are the relationships, experiences, and structure than make progress feel natural instead of forced?
What do I need to change, improve or remove to make this easy?
⚖️ Remember: 50% of growth is down to you. The actions you do or do not take, the thoughts and emotions you train yourself into.
⚖️ The other 50% is your environment: the people, habits, and inputs that either pull you forward or pull you back.
What are you allowing yourself to be influenced by?
To become the version of yourself you want to be, what do you need to be “brainwashed” by?
🌻 Which step do you think most people skip?
